sick again. and house hunting.

amazing how R's face turns into a babyface when he's asleep.

we have been so sick over here. i'm the culprit this time-- the green gunk attacked me saturday morning and i've been out of commission ever since. josh took a sick day yesterday to help me, which was so, so nice. i slept most of the day and felt a little better after.

today, the boys and josh have gotten it too. we aren't letting this one run its 2- or 3-week course, folks. doctor, yes! antibiotics, yes! and then lots of probiotics once the cycle of antibiotics is done.

josh has winter break this thursday, friday, and monday. that's five days. and we need it, desperately.

a weird reflection picture... but the house is pretty. and backwards.

we've got to be out of this pretty house in june. ideally, the beginning of june (or even may!), so we can clean clean clean before the owners of this house come back. and put all their furniture back to rights. i took pictures of all the rooms before we started moving things around, so hopefully we will be able to put it back so it feels like home to them when they walk in.

meanwhile, i am searching for houses to rent. it's stressful, a bit, but we are so excited to be moving into a place that is (hopefully) more kid-friendly and a bit more our own. 

my ideal house would take ages to describe. but for now, for this stage of life, i would love: 

-a dishwasher.

-a fenced-in back yard.

-three bedrooms.

-one story, please. though i wouldn't mind a basement.

-an open floor plan.

-a neighborhood with roads we can take walks on.

-location close to my parents, close to work, close to friends. this is impossible, but i wish.
