my mom sent me this post by geekdad of the five best toys of all time. it's exactly right. ransom is a bit young for some of them, but in the same vein, i have made a list of ransom's five top toys.
5. a pen: obviously, we take this away any time he gets a hold of one...but he tries so desperately.
4. electrical wires: see above disclaimer. we have had to find creative ways to keep wires UP and OUT of reach. but ransom wants them so bad we wonder if he'll be an electrician. (or just wants what he can't have?)

1. a blanket--or any piece of cloth large enough to play peek-a-boo. this provides hours of amusement.
if not one of those is available--and if he's bored enough--he might play with his real toys. but it's unlikely. he would probably come terrorize the tupperware cabinet first.
this is hilarious, and true even for levi right now! except i would add the springy thing on the back of doors that keep them from slamming into the wall... that's my secret weapon for getting ready in the morning :) his favorite place to be is on daniel's lap at his desk, banging on the desk with a pen in his hand.
